Varian for sure has homeschool trauma. Quirin pulled him out of school because “it’s what’s best for him” and now Varian has no idea how to socialize and has crippling loneliness and attachment issues. Why do you think he became best friends with Rapunzel and Cass immediately?

Like I love Quirin but you can’t convince me he didn’t just let Varian stay in his lab 24/7 and think “yup my kids going to come out so well-adjusted.”

ANYWAYS, a list of random things i do that i think tts & vat7k characters would do‼️(this is like most characters btw, like not js the main ones this is like as many as i can remeber and that fit with my self projection

lance will get home from the busiest day ever and the first thing he does is make himself a bowl of ice cream, no matter what hour of the day, he WILL have a bowl of ice cream

varian tries to brush his teeth twice a day but usually how it goes is he takes a shower and then lays and bed lying to himself like "yeah ill js rest my eyes for a couple minutes and then ill get up" and then he actually falls asleep, but every morning he brushes his teeth with no problems

eugene used to brag about how many cavities hed get until he had to take care of them and started missing when he didnt have any

rapunzel can be mid convo with somebody while texting them and then out of the blue just space out and like "huh..." when she realizes what js happened

cassandra and yong are both lactose intolerant but cass tries to take care of herself(she drinks almond milk & eats frozen yogurt which are 10/10 alternatives for non-lactose free items BTW) but yong just keeps eating everything and then wonders why he feel absolutely diobolical 10 mins later

catalina says shell start a book and then reads 1 page then forgets about it for around 3 months ans then remeber and the gets so focused on it no one knows if shes okay, angry does the same thing but with tv shows

nuru tends to not stop what shes doing to go pee so shes suffered the consequences(shes had a UTI before)

rapunzel, despite telling everyone around her to drink water, shes always suprisingly dehydrated

ulla will wake up at random times at night wondering why the fuck shes awake and then go right back to bed like nothing happened

donella has thought of multiple schemes to kill people but has decided that for her own good she will not commit any of them

quirin forgets to say please and thank you at restruants and then says them last minute and then gets so embarrassed and akward he will just flat out stop talking, he passed this onto varian who seems to suffer with this to even MORE extent bcuz he doesnt realize when someone is complimenting him so he'll just stare at them and then be liek "oh!! oh my gosh thank you!!" but the person already walked away and now he feels like an asshole

adira will wear the same pair of pants for 3 weeks straight w/o washing them bcuz she wears other pairs in between that pair so she has a pant cycle, but none of the pants get washed until she can acc smell like dog shit on them or smth and realizes just how morbidly gross they are

hector says hes a hopeless romantic but has never fallen in love a day in his life

donella knows every word to satisfied from hamilton but she literallt doesnt relate to angelica in any way, shape, or form

catalina is a shameless taylor swift fan

angry is a taylor fan but she will always refuse to admit it bcuz idk she feels ashamed

rapunzel will find a band that scratches her brain and listen to that band until it is literally impossible for her to do so anymore

MY ENCASED! QUIRIN HEADCANONS

(Totally cool if you disagree, just don’t be a dick about it)

• For a short while, Quirin was holding on to what little life he had left in the amber and could actually hear anyone that may have been in the room with him. It was muffled, of course, but he could just faintly hear them. So he heard Varian’s cries when he found him, everything that went down with Fredric, Arianna, and Rapunzel.

• He was able to make very small sounds, like grunting and wheezing in some attempt to get anyone’s attention if they were in there, i.e, Varian’s. For a moment, you might think you heard something, but the sounds would stop right after due to how difficult it is. He was also in a lot of pain so those noises were from that as well.

• Quirin was alone with his thoughts for the last moments he had alive, and all he could think about were the moments leading up to his encasing, Varian suddenly not coming back into his lab, and he just wanted to know if his son was okay.

• He shed a singular tear right before actually dying.

• Instead of his own life flashing before his eyes, he only had little snippets of Varian’s childhood play back. Simply because all he could think about was him. Which sucks in itself because Quirin wasn’t mentally present for most of Varian’s due to him grieving his late wife.

• He could hear his slowing heartbeat in his ears, beating over and over. He mentally counted how many beats it would be before he died.

• It wasn’t the dying part he was scared of, as he accepted it the moment the amber touched him. He was more so afraid of Varian being alone.

• If his closeness with Varian was better, maybe it wouldn’t have been as emotionally painful. He literally fought with Varian before getting encased, so he faults himself for not providing the necessary comfort, reassurance, and trust to his son. Even despite how visibly affectionate Varian would be towards him.

Brotherhood Headcanon (rapunzel series)

my original Headcanon for the brotherhood logo is that Adira, Hector and Quirin wanted to draw something INSIDE the circle

but they couldn’t think of what

so then hector got mad and scratched the logo they were designing bc rage™

But Adira and Quirin saw it and were like chill with it bc it looks badass

So they presented it to Edmund

And the badass brotherhood logo was born ✨✨

Then they got mind controlled….

VARIAN'S EYES ARE SIMILAR TO QUIRIN'S, except his freckles are from his mother but either way. HE DOES HAVE FEATURES THAT RELATE TO HIS FATHER!

YOUNGER QUIRIN HEADCANONS (10-15 YEARS OLD)

(Yeah I’m that much of a Quirin fanatic that I made up all this lore)

• Quirin grew up with both parents, Samuel and Giselda Alderidge, and was the youngest of four kids with two older sisters and one older brother (in order) Cecelia, Alina, and Phoenix. The sisters always favored Quirin because he was a sweetheart in comparison to Phoenix. Quirin was always closest with Cecelia.

• Childhood buddies with Hector. Met him when he was 14 years old and found out that Hector was orphaned at 9 years old. Hector was surprisingly clingy towards Quirin and was always the rowdier of the two, as well the most troublesome. (Quirin’s been the voice of reason since day one.) He actually offered for Hector to stay with him and his family, but Hector preferred to be on his own. Of course if he changed his mind, he was always welcome.

• He used to have a journal of his own that he used to document almost everything in. It was given to him by his parents when he was 10 years old. Even if all he did was lounge and rest one day, he’d write about it. He would also tape some Polaroids of him and his family on the pages. He brought it everywhere with him, it was like his signature accessory. However, his journaling stopped when when he was around 23; and it got lost in the crumbling dark kingdom. It’s still there somewhere in present day.

• Being the most beloved by his sisters, and the baby of the family, Quirin was forever coddled by them, as well as heavily protected. Because of this, Quirin developed a tendency to sneak off from them and do as he pleased anyway. He was too sweet to tell them off, and despite being obedient most times, he was a child and wanted to explore.

• Was called “Little Q” by Cecelia and Alina, and “Rin” by Phoenix.

• Ironically enough, was terrified of the dark when he was little, but grew out of it by age 13.

• His mother (Giselda) was a guard in the Dark Kingdom’s palace, which would serve as a blueprint for Quirin learning to sword fight and eventually be in the brotherhood. Also prompts his relationship to King Edmund.

• Was especially good at playing the guitar and would sing to his mother and sisters all the time.

• Got into more trouble than normal at around 15 years solely because of Hector and often times Phoenix as well.
